Cherokee Rock Village is 11.5 miles away and Little River Canyon National Preserve is 16.3 miles away. On-property options include four pools, shaded mini golf, private beach access, community docks, a private boat ramp, golf cart rentals and three dining spots.

Great Escapes RV Resorts Chesnut Bay in Leesburg, Alabama celebrates Halloween across four weekends in 2026. Monster Mash Bash runs October 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25 with pumpkin decorating, the Magic Pumpkin Seed patch, a Mummy Wrap Race, a monster dance party, a costume contest and a haunted trail on Saturday. The Grand Howl-O-Ween Celebration runs October 30 through November 1 and includes a Haunted Wagon Ride, Haunted Trail, park-wide trick-or-treating, a Site Decoration Contest and a Zombie Run. The resort is open on Halloween itself, Saturday October 31.

Great Escapes RV Resorts Chesnut Bay in Leesburg, Alabama has three on-site dining options. Sharky's Cafe serves quick meals including pizza, chicken nuggets, boneless wings, cheesy nachos and ice cream. Shipwrecks, at Pirates Bay Waterpark, serves lunch and dinner including burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders and cheese sticks, with take-out available. The Blue Bell Ice Cream Shop offers ice cream and cold drinks. Seasonal operations and menus can change.

Pirates Bay Waterpark has 19 cabanas in three sizes, all available for full-day use from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Small Cabana is 8 by 8 feet for two guests with two lounge chairs and a small table. The Medium Cabana is 9 by 9 feet for up to four guests and adds electricity plus two extra chairs. The Large Cabana is 9 by 20 feet for eight to 12 guests with electricity, four lounge chairs, four additional chairs and two tables. Every person using a cabana still needs a valid Pirates Bay admission ticket, which is separate from your Great Escapes Chesnut Bay campsite booking.
