Chesnut Bay Resort Policies and Guest Guidelines Alabama
At Great Escapes RV Resorts Chesnut Bay, our guests are known for their kindness, courtesy, and spirit of fun. Whether you're here for the weekend or the whole season, these shared guidelines help create the safe, clean, and family-focused experience we're proud of.
Guidelines
Wristbands
All guests must wear the park-provided wristband. Wristbands help us confirm you're a registered guest and keep access to amenities and attractions limited to those staying with us. Guests without wristbands may be asked to return to their site or visit the Ranger Station to get everything sorted.
Campfire Fun, Done Right
Fires are welcome in the designated fire rings provided at each site. Please keep fires a reasonable size. Bonfires or oversized flames are not permitted.
Fire bans may go into effect during dry conditions based on guidance from local authorities.
Firewood is available for purchase at the Ranger Station. Please do not bring outside firewood, as transporting firewood can spread invasive species. Fire starters and color flame packs are also available for purchase.
Sharing the Outdoors
Help protect the environment and keep the park enjoyable for everyone by storing food properly and keeping campsites tidy. Please do not leave trash, food, or pet bowls outside overnight. Trash collection is provided during designated times.
Enjoy Responsibly
Guests 21 and over may enjoy alcoholic beverages at their campsite. When walking through the park, please use non-descript containers. Glass containers are not permitted in or near aquatic areas for safety reasons.
Visitors
Visitors are welcome and must check in at the Ranger Station upon arrival. Day-use fees may apply depending on arrival time and activities. Visitors must wear a park-provided wristband while onsite, follow campground guidelines, and depart by 10:00 PM.
Wastewater & Generators
Gray and black water must be emptied only at your site hookup or the dump station. Sewer connections must be secure to prevent leaks or spills.
Generators are not permitted, as our full-hookup sites provide the power needed for a comfortable stay.
Family First
Children have the best experience when supervised by a trusted adult, especially at the pool, lake, playground, and activity areas. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at water attractions.
Helmets are required for biking and scootering, and all traffic rules apply throughout the resort.
Pets
Pets are welcome and must be leashed and attended at all times, including at your site. Please clean up after your pet to help keep the park clean.
A maximum of two pets per site is permitted unless otherwise approved. Pets are not allowed on tent sites and are prohibited in aquatic and food service areas.
Pets displaying aggressive or unsafe behavior may be asked to leave the resort for the comfort and safety of all guests.
Service Animals
Service animals are permitted throughout the resort, including all public spaces. Service animals must be individually trained to perform tasks for a person with a disability and remain under control at all times, either by leash, harness, or voice command.
Sites, Parking & Getting Around
Please observe posted speed limits throughout the resort.
Only one RV or tent is permitted per site, with a maximum of eight guests per site. Vehicles must be parked on your designated pad or gravel area. Please do not park in empty or neighboring sites.
Outside golf carts are not permitted. Golf carts are available for rent through the resort. Drivers must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license. Golf carts must remain on resort roads and should not be driven on grass or landscaped areas. Misuse of golf carts may result in termination of the rental without refund.
Side-by-sides are not permitted on the property. Tents are allowed only in designated tent areas.
Fireworks, firearms (including BB, airsoft, and pellet guns), drones, metal detectors, and vehicle or RV repairs are not permitted.
Arrival & Departure
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 AM.
Please do not arrive after 10:00 PM without prior arrangements. Prompt departures help our team prepare sites for incoming guests.
Safety & Emergencies
In the event of severe weather or an emergency, please seek shelter in a bathhouse or visit the Ranger Station for instructions. We strongly encourage downloading the CampersAPP for timely alerts and updates.
Please carry a flashlight when walking after dark.
Fishing
Alabama freshwater fishing regulations apply. A valid fishing license is required to fish on the lake.
