- What forms of payment are accepted at Chesnut Bay RV Resort? We gladly accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
- What type of stays are the resort homes best for? Our homes are ideal for lake getaways, extended stays, fishing trips, family gatherings, reunions, church retreats and group stays—offering more space, privacy, and flexibility than a traditional rental.
- Am I allowed to have a campfire at my rental home? Unfortunately, we are not able to allow outside fires of any kind.
- Are the resort homes fully furnished? Yes. All homes are fully furnished and include kitchens, living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces—everything you need for a comfortable lake stay.
- What are the hours of your pools and water park?

Pool Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday thru Sunday
Water Park: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday thru Sunday
Please Note Pool Policies:
- No glass containers allowed.
- Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Swim at your own risk. No lifeguard on duty.
- No smoking.
- Noise must be kept to a minimum.
- Do you have a place for our group to gather?
Yes. Groups can reserve The Venue, a private space ideal for meetings, celebrations, and group gatherings during your stay.

- What is included in my resort fee?
Access to the pools, amphitheater, arcade, jumping pillow, basketball courts, sand volleyball, gaga ball, horseshoes, 2 miles of walking trails, playgrounds, fishing, swim beach, kayaks, water trikes, and water bikes.
Admission to Pirate’s Bay Waterpark is a separate fee outside of resort fees.
- Can I book multiple homes or receive a group discount?

- How do I reserve my stay?

- Do you offer extended stays?

- What are your peak and non-peak season dates, and do they affect the attractions?
Our resort dates and availability of attractions vary throughout the season and are as follows:

- Can I pay a deposit to reserve my stay?
Yes. Plan now, pay less today. When you book more than 90 days in advance, only 50% of your deposit is due at booking. Remaining payment details are provided during checkout and in your confirmation.
- Can I tour the resort?
We are happy to show off the resort, and we do allow tours. However, we cannot allow tours on holidays or busy weekends. Please call ahead. We would hate for you to waste a drive.
- Are linens provided in all rental homes?
Yes, linens are provided in all rental homes. Chesnut Bay homes are individually owned, so each may offer different supplies. Each was originally equipped with basic pots and pans, plates, glasses, and silverware.
The following is a suggested list of items you may want to bring to make your stay more enjoyable:

Basic supplies are for sale in the Chesnut Bay General Store, and several grocery stores are conveniently located in nearby Centre, Alabama.
- What kind of fish are in Weiss Lake? Weiss Lake is rated as one of Alabama’s top fisheries and is known as the “Crappie Capital of the World.” White and black crappie are abundant, along with largemouth, spotted, and striped bass.
- What are the fishing and boating regulations at Weiss Lake? A fishing license is required. Fishing Licenses may be purchased online or at area bait shops and marinas. - Are pets allowed? Because each lakefront home at Chesnut Bay Resort is individually owned, pet policies vary by property. Some homes are pet-friendly and may include specific size or breed guidelines, while others do not allow pets. We recommend reviewing the individual home’s description before booking to confirm its pet policy.
- Are alcoholic beverages allowed at your resort? Alcoholic beverages are permitted; however, they must be kept in an unmarked container or koozie. For safety reasons, glass containers are not allowed in pool areas, beach areas, activity centers, or on the volleyball courts. As a family-friendly resort, we kindly ask all guests to be considerate of others and maintain respectful language and behavior throughout their stay.
- Do you have quiet hours? We do! Quiet hours are 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM daily.
- How many cars are permitted at my site and may I have extra cars? You may have two cars per rental home, but each car should have a car pass hanging on the rearview window. These are given with your reservation materials. We do not allow extra cars per site because we do not have enough parking space available. ** Extra cars may be permitted due to individual circumstances and events but must be approved by management prior. - Can I bring my own golf cart or ATV to the resort? For safety and liability reasons, guests are not permitted to bring any personal motorized vehicles, such as golf carts, into the resort. While we do not like to be the fun police, guests found in violation of this policy may be asked to leave without refund. For your convenience, we do offer golf cart rentals that allow accessing our resort easy…and fun! If you have a disability, you can bring your own golf cart, however, you must provide documentation for insurance and have a handicap placard.
- How do I rent a golf cart if I am staying overnight?
Golf carts are available for resort home guests and are subject to availability. While limited quantities may be available upon arrival, we recommend reserving in advance to secure one for your stay. - Can I bring my own e-bike or motorized scooter to the resort? Yes, E-Bikes and motorized scooters are allowed on-site. Please ensure that all speed limits and traffic signs are respected. For everyone’s safety, if reckless driving is observed, E-Bikes and motorized scooters will need to remain parked at your rental home for the remainder of your stay.
- How far in advance should I make my reservation?
We recommend booking at least 3-6 months in advance of the desired arrival date.
- When is the cheapest time to book?
Visit us during the months of October through April and enjoy reduced rates! Please keep in mind, activities are limited to weekends only during these times.
- How many guests can I list on my reservation?
Occupancy varies by house. Please follow the occupancy number provided in the description of the home. Occupancy CANNOT exceed the maximum occupancy number listed on the website.
